Hello!

I’m Laura, the artist and designer behind Quilt Fort Co. I’ve been quilting for over 20 years. Since making my first quilt my style has grown with my eagerness for experimentation with technique, color, texture, and shapes. Many of my quilts feature a mix of solid, print, and woven fabrics in a full color spectrum. My work falls in a postmodern design space with maximalist qualities. I enjoy making one-of-a-kind show quilts and also writing patterns. I love speaking and instructing as much as I love making. I have studied and practiced both interior design and photography. Now, most of my time is spent at home raising my two young boys outside Boulder, Colorado. Our family loves venturing to the mountains and exploring all that Colorado has to offer. When I have time, besides quilting and sewing and quilt photography, I like to bike and run.
