How to Fold a Zine

Folding a Zine might seem complicated, but it’s actually really easy. Watch this short (1 minute) how-to video to see how quick it is to make your single page into an adorable little Zine.

Every Quilt Fort Co. Zine comes with a second page of instructions on how to fold your Zine. Start at the little star that says, “Start Here.”

Step 1: Fold paper in half horizontally (line 1), unfold.
Step 2: Fold paper horizontally at 1/4 and 3/4 of the page (lines 2 & 3), unfold.
Step 3: Fold paper in half vertically (line 4), unfold.
Step 4: Cut on vertical half crease (line 4) between the 1/4 and 3/4 fold creases (lines 2 & 3).
Step 5: Fold paper in half lengthwise on crease (line 4). Push Page 2 and Back towards the center to make the center horizontal crease (line 1) fold out between the cover and page 1 and between page 5 & 6.
Step 6: Fold the Back and the Cover away from each other to create a book.

Now you have not only a fun little Zine, but a great mini/block pattern. A great part about this simplified pattern format is that I can offer them at a lower price point than a full quilt pattern. I hope you enjoy making or collecting them as much as I enjoy creating them!
